We celebrated Rachel's 8th birthday on March 17th. Luckily, everyone remembered to wear green. We played Shamrock Charades and painted treasure boxes. Legend has it that if you leave a treasure box out on Saint Patrick's Day then the leprechauns must fill it with treasure. However, they are sneaky and may hide the box for you to find. Two tricky leprechauns (Meghan and her friend Jessica) created a fun treasure hunt for us. Rachel opted out of cake this year. She wanted to have shamrock sugar cookies that the kids could decorate and eat. It was interesting to see how they turned out --one kid decorated his with green Pringles--yummy!
