Here is a photo of our "home away from home" during this past trip to Canada. From the outside, this home was beautiful--trees surrounded us giving the feeling of being alone on this beautiful rocky beach.
The view from the living room window was equally beautiful-especially as the sun was rising over the Georgian Bay of Lake Huron.
It was the interior view that was a bit of a challenge as you can see from this lovely 70's carpet. Too bad I don't have a photo of the hot pink plush carpet in the living room to share with you.
This picture does not do justice to the actually yuckness in "Mildew Manor." We scrubbed with every cleaner we could find in Canada--and here is the photo of what remained. It wasn't too bad to shower in--as long as you did not touch the walls or shower curtain. Oh and a travel tip for Canada--bring your own towels. Little did we know--they were not provided. Had to get a bit creative. No Walmart or Target on Bruce Peninsula.

Yuck. So, they don't clean the houses they rent or provide towels. Interesting. Although, I'm not sure you'd care to use any towels they may have left anyway!
Maybe not all available rentals are that bad?
